Dragons, who woudln't love 'em?This deck has plenty of dragons and some other twists aswell.Mid-range deck, so be aware that against aggro decks you'll be running low health until you build your own forces up. After that, aggro decks are mainly just a snack for your dragons to eat.
Early in the game you will have to shoot out those pesky critters with unnecessary violence. Do not hesitate to use those XR burns such as Devil's Play. You'll get those back as you get Mnenonic Wall and Peel from Reality combo up and running. Izzet staticcasters are excellent against token or small creature aggro decks.Always play wall when possible (unless you plan mass destruction with Torrent of Lava, Street Spasm or Jiwari). When wall is at play cast Peel from reality and return wall to hand with some creature opponent controls (something that is attacking you or has some annoying property). Then on your turn re-cast wall and again you get some nice burn spell from graveyard to hand. This combo backed up with nice hitters will keep you running and opponent at bay. Deck is rather slow and requires patience, but when things start to work out, it's really a fun deck to play. Peel from reality is also worth considering with Izzet Staticcaster, as these fellows have haste. You can first shoot some creature for 1 damage, cast peel from reality and return staticcaster to hand, re-cast staticcaster and shoot again.Utvara Hellkite is excellent to bring out with Zirilan, as it triggers dragon token from every attacking dragon. Pyromancer's goggles are there just to make sure you'r burn spells won't leave anyone oppose the might of your dragons. Or just one for the critter, one for the head style of play.
