Deck Description

Well, after reading a few articles on this card, and after playing against a few, myself, I've decided to take a shot at a birthing pod deck.

B/g seems like the right way to go for this deck, but if you look, there's 1 creature in this deck that's not either color... treasure mage?? Why treasure mage :O

WELL; let's say turn 3 we ditch a little 2 drop for a treasure mage. we go get moltensteel dragon, play him of turn 4 for 4 mana and 4 life. Since he's a 6 drop that can be played as a 4 drop, on turn 5 or so we can go get a beastly 7 drop. And with this "tool box" build, we can truly decide which creature will do the best job. (:

Deck discussion for Birthing Pod

I love that little loophole with the moltensteel. The combo to find it and upgrade it is creative. I just wonder how this deck would play out against some of the quicker decks or some nasty black control.

This deck, is actually really feeble in the sense that if you destroy birthing pod, the deck is effed.
it was a nice idea, and can be ridiculous, but it's just not nearly as strong as the other top tier decks. maybe after rotation...

Have you considered adding in a pyrexian obliterater. You can birthing pod your treasure mage for one and then you have something no one wants to mess with. I busted a phyrexian obliterater and a foil birthing pod in the same booster and I jumped to that type of conclusion of whipping the obliterater into play.

I've considered adding a lot of card, obliterator was one of them. except the creatures in this deck all have come into play abilities, or abilities that cripple your opponent meerly because of their existence.
obliterator WOULD be good, except he needs to attack, and if he gets condemned... ohhh buddy. lol
