The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Glimpse the Unthinkable is awesome but sadly, not extended legal anymore. They changed the rules to only the last 4 years of magic, so everything from Lorwyn block through today. More Archive Trap would be great, since in many competitive decks (especially in extended) people use the Zendikar fetchlands a lot! Theoretically, you could win on turn one (basically) with this.

Turn one, they draw their 7 card hand (deck is now 53 cards). They play a fetchland and crack it (deck contains 52 cards). You cast 4 free archive traps and their deck is now 0 cards. Even better is if they cast a preordain and you hit them with all 4 traps in response for the instant win.:) I'll concede that this is highly unlikely, yet enjoyable to contemplate, nonetheless and can demonstrate the power of the card. It's basically 1/4 or more of their deck for 0 mana quite often. Nihil Spellbomb also seems a bit too cute for the deck. Maybe for the sideboard. Although, the black leyline is probably still better.

Haha, sorry! Didn't mean to ruin it. :/ At least you're not trying to use it in an actual tournament like that, though, right? haha.

haha i didn't even notice that it was ravnica.
and no, i dont even own the cards yet. im just messing around with the idea of older cards. me and my friends really want to get into edh, so we figure the best way to learn the cards is to make decks that utilize them. (:

Oh nice! I love EDH. However, I seriously doubt I will ever post a decklist on this site, simply because it is a pain in the butt to search through the list of 60+ cards (once you get past the basic land) and add them all. I have a really fun Omnath deck, though. Seriously, though, you should quite "wanting" to get into EDH and just do it. It's some much fun. Haha. Highlander is always great for any format, too.

can you suggest any fun generals?

Well, like I said, my main current EDH deck is Omnath. Uril, the Miststalker is very very good if the deck is built right. Some people find it fun to try and build a deck using a colorless general (Emrakul is considered banned by the casual community usually from any EDH use at all) such as Karn, Silver Golem. This is obviously much much harder to pull off, though, because you cannot use any basic lands (they contain a colored mana symbol that is not part of the general). These decks can still be insanely powerful, but often more expensive to piece together. Also, it would likely require many of the older lands and cards that may be harder to acquire. Rune-Tail, Kitsune Ascendant is incredibly good/annoying/fun/cheap because you begin the game at 40 health.

Umm, otherwise... Honestly, almost any legendary creature will do. The main thing is to pick a general that will allow you to play the colors you want and the effects you want. For UB, Oona, Queen of the Fae could be really good. Idk. The general can be played to be a crucial part of the deck or just as a side benefit at times. There are just too many generals as options to give you an even decent list, I think.
