Deck Description

So I'm going to Canadian Nationals this year, playing standard and legacy, and I figured it was time to seriously get into legacy (now that I have a job I can actually buy these cards :'D.)
Dredge is pretty cheap to make, and is sooo fun to play. I love dredge. So here's my attempt at it. (:
Rainbow landbase + cephalid.

Whiteandblue, surewhynot, sideboard help would be much appreciated. I seemed to have fell out of the legacy scene and need to know the top decks. :'D

Deck discussion for Me Dredgesta

I really advise a full playset of Cephalid Coliseums, it's simply incredibly in the deck, and has won me a great deal of games. Another land change to consider would be Tarnished Citadel over Grand Coliseum, which is a trade-off really, life for speed.
I also suggest that you shift to accommodate a full eight discard dorks, they really make your life go smoother.

A must have for the board is Firestorm, a nice little uncounterable discard outlet for one red mana, and can deal with Scavenging Ooze from time to time :D
Winds of Change, Leyline of Sanctity, and Terastodon are popular choices for thew SB as well. And depending on what kind of hate you expect, I like to go with Nature's Claim, or if you expect spell based hate, you have to bait them usually :/

Also, decks to beat right now are something like this.
ANT, Delver Tempo, Stoneblade, Maverick, TEAM, and Reanimator

Also, I find it ironic that you're playing this, as just yesterday I went and started buying pieces for dredge as well. Got ma trolls :)

Maverick? Really? Hrm...

Firestorm is a must. I rarely if ever see a Dredge without 4 in the SB. Also like WnB said, Winds of Change is a powerful, albeit chaotic, speed boost when needed...I'd say 3 maybe 4 of those. Nature's Claim is surprisingly effective, but I'll warn that in some match-ups, that 4 life will end up losing you the match...It's crazy, but I've seen it happen against Stoneblade, for example.

I always seem to see a singleton Ichorid hanging around in most SB, I never see it used, but I know it's there =P

You usually bring in the Ichorid for control MU's, it's kind of like a failsafe, or good luck charm. I personally side it in against Stoneblade mostly, but I've been considering perhaps it's time to rethink that, since I already win against them anyway :/

maverick... lol. i love green white, but come on..

see... with only 14 land, i hate that 4 of them are blue sources, when usually turn 1 i need either white or black mana. if i have to mull, then see cephalid and no other land... /facepalm.
and 8 discard dorks.. hmm... yeah i'm down.

and thanks for the sb options, guys!

trust me, I'd love it if I felt I could get away with three Coliseums, but I really can't get behind running only three.

This is why I love Vintage Dredge, it's just bazaar->discard GO. Sun Titan bringing back another Bazaar, and that triggers Bloodghast, and then you just win.

hahaha vintage seems like a whole other world to me. o.o too expensive

If you play Vintage Dredge, you only really need to proxy the Bazaar, otherwise I think it might actually be cheaper than Legacy Dredge o_0

I'm not going to lie, Vintage is, and probably will always remain to be a MWS format for me. I simply can not afford the decks I love for that format.

^.- weird. bazaar is a nice card though, hahaha.

and yeah.. vintage is wayyy out of my price range. and I only play formats I can actually hope to play on paper.

p.s. cockatrice > MWS

I hadn't heard of cockatrice until just recently, in fact that's the second time I've heard about it, but it's a pain in the ass to port decks. I'm seriously considering doing a quick uninstall on MWS and getting Cockatrice in the morning, but I need some time to bathe. I played flange rock, and it makes me feel a tad dirty.

Oh, and Unmask is an option, but it's better in Vintage Dredge.

i'm not sure how i'll like it. especially seeing how i cut 2 discard dorks. but i found i was usually wishing I had access to 2 dread returns. :/

i'd replace it with a flashback draw spell (for preferably life or 1 mana) if i knew of any

Best we have right now is probably Deep Analysis, which flashes back for {1}{U} :/ It's awesome in LED Dredge, but outside of that it's kind of bleh.

yeah, i saw that but thought it was too slow. I'm lucky if I see 1 mana source, let alone 2. that's pushing it. :/

p.s. built a new reanimator! :'D
