This is a bit of a weird deck, but it's a spicy list. I was playing online, watching a game in the Cockatrice mtg room, when I noticed this player playing a RUG list, at which during the first glance I had expected to be RUG Delver. I was watching the game, still convinced (seeing goyf, snapcaster and deprive) until he drew seismic assault... then dredged life of the loam after casting thoughtscour. I was thoroughly impressed with the deck's overall build, and while I might edit it, I can in no way take full credit for this list's composition. I think this is the start of something beautiful.

So it's RUG Aggro-Loam, neat. I've seen a few of these, but mostly people prefer Naya. Dropping white loses me access to KotR, but damn does it give some good options from going blue. I've never seen a RUG list for it in Modern, kind of interested by how this works out. Usually it's more of an aggro design, with highly efficient beaters, and some control to keep the opponents board clear. This however, is more or less a control-aggro design. I dig it, and it even has my favourte card from Dark Ascension other than Faithless Looting; Thought Scour!
