Deck discussion for [Casual] Aurochs Herd

This looks really fun. I like the descendents paths, I don't think I've seen many decks make good use of them so far. Mutavaults are expenisive, but would do a good job pumping the aurochs when you activate it. Adaptive automoton would be pretty cool though, counts as an aurochs, and then you have a robot blending in with the herd. What turn does the deck usually start to get going with the herd attacking and all?

I would drop the overruns for 2 more descendants paths, what do u think?

Unfortunately, I actually have not yet tried the deck out. But, I agree with more descendants being helpful :)

you might try some cards with Changeling just to get out another few "aurochs"

would be a good 2 drop even if you only have 2-3 (IMO better than having an omenreader)

i have a RG auroch deck that is super cool

I like your deck :) Omen reader is there to reduce the overall casting cost of Aurochs, but maybe that's not necessary with all the mana ramp and descendants' path :)

yeah having (effectily) 8 llanowar elves might be a bit over kill might go for only 3 of each and then 2 woodland changelings

woodland changeling sounds really good here, basically serving as another bull aurochs

since 90% of your creatures already have trample you might consider

http://www.mtgvault.com/card/predatory-rampage/M13/

or

http://www.mtgvault.com/card/overwhelming-stampede/M11/

rather than overrun since they both cost the same but the first forces your opponent to block (hopefully killing some of his creatures)
and the second has the chance to pump them all up +4/+4 depending on what you have out

I would run at least two Asceticism giving them hexproof and regeneration, also Dolmen Gate would be great giving the fact they have trample another idea is Bow of Nylea assigning one damage to the creature blocking and trampling over with the rest. Not sure if Bellowing Tanglewurm is that great, one it will become a large target, and two doesn't do much if the other player is running green at best I would add it in your sideboard. I would take out:

-3 Descendants' Path (because if you draw more all they do is sit in your hand)
-2 Bellowing Tanglewurm
-4 Woodland Changeling's

Then add:

+1 Garruk, Caller of Beasts (just like Descendants' Path but more of a drawing idea plus final ability is great)
+1 Bow of Nylea
+2 Asceticism (Protection is always a must)
+1 Dolmen Gate (Dealing damage and not being dealt damage)
+4 Adaptive Automaton (One more to cast but being able to give all your Aurochs +1/+1 for added damage)

I hope this helps out, in any way.

Great suggestions, but my goal is to keep the decks as budget as possible :)

However, these changes would be definitely worth it if one's not on a tight budget XD
