No sideboard found.

The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

My friends and I use Gatherer to draw a random card, then we each build a deck based off of whatever card we each got. I drew Copy Enchantment.

So this is my deck. I play 65 cards because I figure the extra five cards aren't gonna hurt anything and it lets me add one or two extra things that I may be uncertain about cutting. However, if you HAD to run 60 with this, I'd suggest maybe moving Copy Enchantment or Copy Artifact to the sideboard and adding some random Changelings that you like just because those guys are only there to fully benefit from Shapesharer, which in all the games I've played with this deck, has only been a distant Plan B.

How to Play

I try to hide that this is the deck I'm playing for as long as I can because the instant my friends realize that I'm rolling shifters, they stop putting anything exploitable into play until they somehow take me out. Fortunately, I seem to favor blue decks, so it takes a couple of turns before they figure out what's up.

Aside from that, I try to get my Doppelgangers and Cryptoplasms out early and just start cloning the crap out of them with Counterpart, Rite, and Identity. The token clones are good for popping Legendaries when they show up or otherwise breaking the game with way more than four of any particular card in play at once, depending on what your opponent has. If you get really lucky with the land draws or if you're in a long game, Twincast with a kicked Rite is a great way to explode all over the battlefield.

I'd also like to note that I included Copy Artifact in this deck instead of Sculpting Steel because when you use Copy Artifact, the copy is also still an enchantment, which can be copied further still with Copy Enchantment if you want.

That's those old lands make 1600 of the deck
The edition of the dopplrganger could cut 120 the rest makes up itself I will say twenty lands is too low you really wan 24 hear or at least 22-23 with Just twenty you'll hit 2 mana and stall out
Also phantsmal image is a copy spell for 2 mana since your immune o price

That IS why it's so expensive! :D If this deck works okay and I want to buy it, I'll look in to switching out some of those expensive-as-hell dual lands. Thanks for the advice! I'm gonna give this deck a test tonight and see how the 20 lands works out. I usually run 20 in my giant, awkward decks and GENERALLY do okay (we all have our bad draws).

And Phantasmal Image was concidered, but I had two problems with it. 1) It dies if it gets enchanted or whatnot and I have like no defense against that in here unless my opponent does and 2) even if I got around that, I wouldn't have a way to change it into a better creature should one arrive. Everyone else in here can refresh during my upkeep or as part of an activated ability, so if anybody gets some 15/15 wurm out, I'm not stuck with a copy of their Llanowar Elves I snagged because it was the only other thing out when Image was in my hand.
