Deck Description

Homarid Spawning Bed is one of those weird little cards that's just too good to pass up, especially since it generates tokens at a really good clip in BLUE of all colors. It really starts to shine when you realize that Scornful Egotist is probably one of the most efficient High-CMC-getters out there. 4 for an 8-drop? Yes please.

How to Play

Homarid Spawning Bed is your friend. The basic strategy is to have that and a Denizen out with one of the Sac-ables, preferably Scornful Egotist. Get some blue tokens, mill some cards. Later, use the tokens with Undercity Informer.
If everything goes to hell, you can still swarm your opponent with a bunch of 1/1's or possibly 2/2's if you have Grand Architect out.

Mill-ers:
Sage's Row Denizen
Selhoff Occultist
Undercity Informer

Sac-ables:
Scornful Egotist
Mindeye Drake
Mortus Strider

The deck frequently plays out with having two Sage's Row Denizens on the field with Homarid Spawning Bed. Play face-down Egotist. Next turn, morph it up and sac it (total cost of four mana) to get eight 1/1 tokens. The opponent mills 16 per Denizen, or a total of 32. This would be turn 6 for more than half the deck gone.
If you happen to tack False Demise onto Scornful Egotist before you kill it, you get to do it again the next turn, potentially ending the game turn 7.

Deck discussion for Spawn of the Egotist

For such a pathetically low cost, That is some serious power. *Applause*

If you want to try to make the deck more "lockdown-ish" try out lurking informer with wand of denial. Initially use the wand and your life, then, when you got the informer in play, use the wand to look and mill with the informer. Mill-control...
