Well, this is a deck built to basically spawn angels everywhere. Flying 4/4 Tokens can be pretty ridiculous, especially when there are so many of them! I like angels, and I came across Druid's Deliverance and was all 'zomg a pretty card, must use!' so I made this deck. Id love any assistance anyone can give because I am still trying to learn how to make solid decks. Even though this isnt super good, I imagine there are ways to make a similar deck but better.
Spawn all sorts of angels. You've got the tools to stall for like, thirty turns if you do it properly. In fact, as long as they can't get rid of Isochron Scepter, you're practically unstoppable!

Speaking of Angels...one Angel in particular loves Kami.Angel of Flight Alabaster. Sorta expensive...but she buys back Kami every turn. It is like always having a Fog in your hand. And I like something like Life's Legacy to draw you cards. It combos nice with Luminarch and/or Angelic Accord. Good luck! If you have the chance, mind checking this out out? http://www.mtgvault.com/jessie/decks/youre-squeezing-my-balls/

Both excellent suggestions! I didn't know that Life's Legacy existed, and I was not familiar with Angel of Flight Alabaster, but she seems like a great card to have in this deck. Fogs everywhere! :D
This is a really neat deck. Maybe it will get more views!
It could do well. I like this one and my Rubblebelt Madness deck. ^.^I'm really tempted to try and play with them.
I want this deck so bad. T.T
140 dollars isn't too bad! Save up, girl!
I got a huge bonus coming up soon! :3I'm definitely looking at getting this! :D
Always play test the deck and proxy it before buying. I think it looks nice though.
Mhm. Its a good idea, but... T.TI waaaant ittt!
Hmmm... Okay, so, after playing around with it and plotting out some methods of getting Angels all over the board. The earliest I can reliably get Angels out without dying is about turn 5 (if the enemy is slow) or turn 6/7 if the enemy is fast and I need to use some defense spells. Considering how much I /can/ stall, that's not a HUGE problem, but it does leave me very vulnerable for the first few turns. I'm not sure if there is an effective method for getting around that or not.
Ghostly Prison or some other stall method. Or more mana ramp like something along the lines of Harrow.
Ramp may be more effective. Between Kami and Druid's Deliverance, I should have effective stall. Harrow could actually be really solid. Hmm...
I think Harrow is a good addition. I added Four Flagstones of Trokair and two Harrow, which could be really interesting. Flagstones of Trokair is legendary, so it can basically be used as a fetchland on a plains without the loss of life, or if Harrow is in hand, I can play it on Trokair for three lands, and then play another Trokair when able. That should help me ramp a little bit. Also dropped the price by 20$ :3
Newest legend rule allows this (not really new rule...but you get the point).Have 1 Flagstone in play.Have 1 Flagstone in your hand. Tap the First Flagstone to produce 1 white mana. Put into play the Second Flagstone. The First one goes to the graveyard fetching you a tapped Plains. Now tap the second Flagstone for 1 white mana.Outcome is that you have 2 mana that turn and an extra tapped plains. Not practical...but neat. And Harrow is great for dual color decks...it helps fetch you the right color mana. And 20 dollars cheaper rocks!
That's why I put a playset of them there, because even if you end up with a couple, you can play them on top of each other and just search out a normal plains or a shockland with no real loss. :3I added some neat sideboard cards. If I used Crucible of Worlds, I could repeatedly play my Trokairs from my graveyard to search plains out every turn, which means even if I don't draw lands, I can potentially fetch one regardless. I put some ghostly prisons in, so I have options for my stalling. A couple extra Harrows and then Azor's Elecutors just to make people sweat when they can't get through my defenses. :3Maybe it'll make them waste burn spells on me to slow it down, or get desperate or something. It immediately puts them on a 5 turn clock which can be rough when you can't deal damage to someone. Im looking for a couple extra cards to slip in there. Sideboard finished with...Trading post, and Pulse of the Fields for that 4 life gain on Angelic Accord, and then Strionic Resonator to copy some triggered abilities and spawn more angels. I feel more confident in its awesomeness now!
Playtested. Having stalled to like, turn 15 and leaving my opponent frustrated and confused because I did nothing but defend myself, I spawned roughly... a lot of angels. It was glorious.I had Trostani, Selesnya's Voice down, two parallel lives, and two Angelic Accords. I used Luminarch Ascension five times.1*4=41*4=41*4=41*4=41*4=4Total of 20 Angel tokens.Trostani gives me 20*4 life for a total of 80 life gained. Currently...Angels: 20Life: 100Angelic Accords triggers...20 more angels are spawned for the first one.20*4=80 Angels80*4= 320 lifeDouble it160 angels640 life.End total:Angels: 180Life: 740Opponent conceded.
I would say...that outcome won't always happen...but for the times that it does happen, 140 dollars would be worth it.
Hahaha. I think that against most decks that don't use player-targeting burn spells, the deck would be preeeetty solid. Its defensive capabilities are exceptional, as well as its versatility. I ramped quite well, and I never even felt threatened once. Kamis all over. Throwing down mega defense. Then Isochron with Druid's Deliverance on it. Yeah, it was fun.
Angels in Fog...:)
So far in every match Ive played with my proxy deck its been like a massive stall. Its hard to defeat because it has so many different ways to indefinitely stall the game. Can Kami + Angel of Alabaster or Isochron + Druid's Deliverance, each of which has been fairly reliable to pull. Then angels everywhere. (:
Kami and Alabaster works, you don't say? Will have to try it one day :)It rocks too that Alabaster is such a pretty card for so cheap!
Yup. It returns Kami at the beginning of every turn, so just sac it at the beginning of their turn or wait until they commit to battle, make combat irrelevant, and then get it back right away. :3
I was being sarcastic...lol.I was the one to suggest Alabaster to begin with :z0
I knows! :DI've found that the... Birds of Paradise are essentially useless to me in this deck. I should replace it with something. Got any ideas? :DActually... there is a new enchantment that makes all enchantments shrouded except for it... It'd for someone to waste enchantment removal to destroy my other, more important ones. Might be a good idea.
Ethereal Armor is nice. Sphere of SafetyThe card you described is Greater Auramancy.
Sphere of Safety might not be bad. Same with Greater Auramancy.
Now if only the deck could have Serra's Sanctum in it. I had that card for ever, like 12 years, and no one wanted to buy it. Out comes all the new enchantments in Theros...and the Sanctum triples in price overnight. Not for this deck though, because it is not Modern.
He he he... I'm not sure if I should be concerned about my lack of creatures or not.
Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't angelic accord give you 1 angel no matter how much life you gain over 4?
Perhaps. >.>
