Deck Description

ok, im new i admit it. there we go its out in the open. i used my judgement built a nice green and black deck. well i lost and lost and lost. close to giving up i thought, ok go one colour, im desperate. get a few nice cards i like the sound of and i did. i have actually won with it so dont laugh that much. i know its a long way off from ideal- fact i have so many singles i think proves its ready for improving but as i say im new and with this im starting to put my feet under the table. opinions please guys :)

How to Play

im new so with a spreading grin on my face when the mana flows just right. i think its a get you on your feet early deck. but id prefer the opinion of experts and the knowledgeable ones- i honestly cannot advise but its an attempt so thought id post it to see what you think or how it can be improved (yup probably multi colour it but leaving that aside as a single colour deck what do you think?)

Deck discussion for chris's must win 1 standarddec

Mono-color will be much easier to start with, especially considering your card pool! Single cards aren't great, so imo, you couldn't go wrong with dropping some of the cards that don't fit your play style (there's quite a variety of cards in here!), and even just getting 3's and 4's of the relevant commons. You could also drop some of the stuff that's clearly in there for the hell of it (Kitesail? :P)

Mono color is much easier to run when you don't have any of the dual color lands (shock lands, guild gates etc), plus it's less to think about!

Also, if you're winning, you must be doing something right. So keep play testing and tweaking :)

thanks for the advice, its very welcome. yup i shall remove some of the singles and multiply that which suits my style. bit embarrassing when i said i win with it, i ment i have won with it, not many im afraid but more than i did dual colour.

That's always a good start. The important thing is that you have a deck you enjoy playing. If you don't enjoy playing it, then you don't play well and you'll have no passion to change it / improve it. :)
