Deck Description

working on this deck for a while. had an epiphany today. tapsac lands are technically activated abilities, therfore pithing needle works against them. here is the deck.

Mainboarded Pithing Needles because its a 1st turn play, and it can deal with all of the tapsac lands being played in T2 right now. Since even mono colored decks are using them, and people dont sideboard land, it can create a dead card for many decks.

The deck also uses spreadem concept. Only 2 Luminarch's so that they dont get cascaded into frequently.

The deck should be able to deal with both boros and Jund decks very effectively. Neutralizing tap sacs, and come into play tap lands.

2 Luminarch's in the sideboard to counter other control decks, especially mono blue, which the land control concept works the least against.

Deck discussion for Land Control T2 RATE!

I don't know if this will work that well. Pithing needle is too easily destroyed, pocket 4 of them. Also Pithing Needle doesn't say your opponent but all cards of that name, so all your Sac ' N ' Tap land would be effected the same way if they are running the same ones.

I see where you're going with this, but this deck is completely based off the idea that someone will use tap-sac lands. they probably will, but still. but you can't always rely on that card to come out first turn, and if it doesn't, you will get wrecked. in fact, this deck gets wrecked by any quick strike deck. A good deck can work with pretty much any hand it gets. and with a lack of creatures... yeah not so much. add a few one-mama creatures for defense
