Deck discussion for The Taint 2.0

I know you said you're a big fan of the Vatmother, but she does put you on a clock, especially against another Infect deck. Maybe take out two of her and a Hydra for 3 Rot Wolves or Septic Rats? Most of your one and two-drops require creatures to be on the field and I'd be worried about having any sort of early offense if you don't have a Stinger out on turn two. Yes, the Nexus could technically be a turn-two creature as well, but relying on that might just hurt your land situation if they have a response.

Eh, maybe I'm rambling too much. Although, I do have to ask: Adventuring Gear? Really? Is that in there because of the number of pain lands you have? There's plenty of better early game cards out there that don't rely on you pinging yourself. ;)

I've had an amazing amount of luck with Adventuring Gear... to the tune of using it to hit with a plague stinger for 9 on round 3. Often I can drop the gear on round 1, the stinger on round 2, attach on round 3, drop a land, fetch, play explore, drop another land, then use a pump spell and win round 3. It's often worth +4/+4, occasionally worth +6/+6 or +8/+8, and its fast.

I'd sideboard out the Vatmother against infect, and if I really have to, I can GffT her as well as anything else - but it'd realistically be round 14 before I die to infect without being up against another infect player, and if it's that late, I've already lost.

It is light on early creatures, though. I think a few Blight Mambas or Septic Rats might find a home to round out the early mana curve. I could potentially ditch the Explores and Adventuring Gears and fetchlands and just stack up four more creatures and two more pump, and see how that worked.
