Deck Description

based on Grind/Life Gain for extended battles. Go for either Halimar based grinding, or grinding based on draw. Use Jwari Shapeshifter to to strengthen whichever you pick. Still has the possibility of beat-down if the grind aspect of the deck gets elliminated. Ondu Cleric and Talus Paladin for life gain.

Edit: took out 2 Tome Scours and added Venser, the Sojourner, for his first ability.

Edit 2: took out Thought Reflection and 1 Sea Gate Loremaster for 2 AEther Tradewinds due to durick's suggestion.

Thanks for the comments and please keep helping me out.

Deck discussion for Ally_Grindtastic

I really like Venser, The Sojourner in decks like this. His first ability wrecks with the Excavator.

That's a great idea. Any idea what 2 cards I should take out do add him? I'm kinda new to mtg

Sea Gate Loremaster is way too expensive and by the time you get him out, they should already be almost milled. Same with Thought Reflection. I really like Aether Tradewinds to bounce one of their nasties and one of your cheap allies.

Thanks for the advice durick. I really appreciate it. Aether Tradewinds is really a good idea as I hardly have any control in the deck. As for Sea Gate, I am leaning towards keeping him for 2 reasons.

1. I'm only looking to get one on the table, and then use Jwari to copy him, which is a lot cheaper.
2. You are right, they should be mostly milled by the time I get him out, but I play a lot of multiplayer free-for-all games that last quite long and I need a backup mechanism for milling in case my Halimars disappear.

Do you know of any other really good draw cards for allies?

Hmmm... I can't really think of any. Not drawing enough cards the only disadvantage in mine, but I also don't play a lot of multiplayer with it.
