Technically it's still not winning you the game, Nylea would be in that case. Furthermore, in my opinion sabertooth+ascendancy is a much better combo than bell strike.

Um.... What are you talking about? I destroyed your dragons. Every time we've played I've infied, or hornet queens before your dragons could kill me.
Plus, my combo is very different from that one, I mainly use acolyte and found myself disagreeing with that video multiple times.
I have actually never watched that video. I just started getting into magic last year and well... Let's just say in the beginning I was terrible. The first time I made an infi deck, it was elvish archdruid + Umbral mantle. I only ran about 8 elves. It evolved into acolyte+mantle, then into standard acolyte+bell strike, then finally I saw sabertooth and ascendancy and a light went off in my head. Ask my friends for proof.

A few things:1: Lands that etb tapped. In my experience, these slow you down way too much. I would suggest pain lands like Yavimaya coast instead.2: Is Bassara Tower Archer a good choice? It only provides devotion, I'd suggest cards that can win you the game instead.3: Singing Bell Strike. In my experience, 2 of these is a good number. With 4, you might get trapped with one in hand and naught to do but tap a creature, OR you may play it on acolyte, but have them wild slash a mystic or something, losing the necessary devotion and tapping your best mana producer.
Plus voyaging satyr can be bounced with Sabertooth for infi.
Too many bell strikes can get stuck in your hand, or worse, kill your ramp if you don't have enough devotion. Purphoros is actually my favorite way to combo, as a fog can't stop it (bounce any creature with Sabertooth) Furthermore, With other etb effects (drawing cards, hornet queens, Genesis hydra, Purphoros provides a nice side effect.
I think hypothetically, what Joe is suggesting is that if the opponent gets a wall post fate it doesn't matter much, while pre-fate it can buy you a turn...
