Deck Description

A land destruction deck combining old and new cards. I'm surprised dingus egg is a real card. Most of the goblins are fodder for earthblighter.

I build decks I might use and barely any of my opponents use nonbasic lands. Still, I'll add it in. Also, I didn't know it existed

If you're using black in a land destruction deck please oh please include sinkhole. Probably proxy it, but it's needed.

Maybe not in main deck, but definitely in sideboard.

Maybe you could make this deck part green? Some green cards that would go good in this deck would be Terravore, Creeping Mold, Acidic Slime, and Mwonvuli Acid-Moss. Just suggestion. This is still a good deck.

I din't want to make this deck part green, but I might make another land = gone with green in it. Thanks for bringing it up

Ankh of Mishra would be good once you have a couple land out yourself.

True, if they don't have any lands, they will need to play the ones they can get. Good idea, I'll add it into the sideboard just in case.

I think you need Rancid Earth here. For more board control and land destruction. Also, Befoul, if you needed to destroy a creature instead of a land, then befouls is your answer. You need those board controls / Land destroyer because Winnes / Aggros are your main enemy here. You got too much land there, trim it down to around 22. Put in 1 strip mine too. And if you could afford it, you should put in 4 Phyrexian Obliterators for your winning condition.

Overall, pretty solid deck you got there. Nice take on Land Destruction.

Keep up the good work forty_two!

I was planning on using the helldozers for the finish, but the obliterators have an awesome ability, and I didn't know they were real, so thanks.

ok, since I got the wumpus's, I'm taking out the obliterators because the wumpus can kill lands and deal lots of damage

The only advantage of Shivan Wumpus compared to Obliterator is the generic casting cost. And Shivan wumpus would only work if your opponent has 3 or less lands. I also have a landy deck, and even how perfect your landy deck is, you will still have games where your deck just wouldn't work and your opponent will end up having many lands on the board. That may be caused by luck or by the well-roundedness of your opponent's deck. And IF that happens, and you drop Shivan wumpus, your opponent would simply sacrifice a land that he/she don't need anymore. You wouldn't have any alternate win besides that. YOU WILL LOSE. Obliterator can turn the whole game around and is WAY better than Wumpus. Imagine your opponent sacrificing around 2-3 lands just because they neededto block the Obliterator. You should rather use Magnivore instead of the Wumpus.

True, magnivore is better than the wumpus, and again I didn't know it was even there. I switched them out.

I would suggest Avalanche Riders, and Raze.
With the amount of land your running I see no harm in playing Raze.

Oh, and one Strip Mine.
Clearly there is a budget with this deck, so I wont sugest Waste Land, or Sink Hole....

Ok, I added the strip mine and avalanche riders. I needed creatures that weren't fodder, so thanks all for suggestions.

I also think you should be playing Shivan Wumpus, and Raze.

Good idea about shivan wumpus, I didn't know it was there. (I'm not up to date on most of the newer cards).

Earlier, mtg6796 asked me to make this deck part green, but I didn't want to. However, here is a new land death deck that is part green.

Well put togeather!.. :)

The curve is high, but it doesn't matter, since the opponent can not play a thing... :))

This is Legacy format tho & in legacy, there are decks, wich could win in turn 1-3, so you can't change the outcome of the game...

Still... I like it how you built this...

I think your on to something here, though it definately needs tweaking... Why do you only have 1 strip mine? Thats like the best card you have. Also, Raze is screaming, "PUT ME IN YOUR DECK!!!", and for good reason. Check out my deck and feel free to leave a comment:
