drawing cards

Hello MTG fans,

if a card says "reveal card and put it in your hand" is that considered drawing a card?

i am asking since another cards says"each time you draw a card, you gain 1 life"

good question

my instinct would be to say "if the effect doesn't use the word draw, then it's not drawing"

'draw' is a specific mechanic and does not include every effect that results in you adding a card to your hand from the library.

it's not the same as drawing. exact wording in magic is very important.
