Top Ten Countdown Singles of this week 18Feb.

Just generated a top ten selling list of this week and discussed with a team of players come up with the following comments.

1.Pithing Needle

The number one selling card is week, it has been very demanding. And I can see it in players' side board most of the time.

2.Celestial Colonnade
~$7.96
Doesn't need to tap when attacking, and you can still get the mana after the attack.

3.Verdant Catacombs
~$10.88
The Black and the Green Magic Players should be desperate with it

4.Malakir Bloodwitch
~$4.05
It is hard for me to think of a card which could destroy the Malakir Bloodwitch

5.Earthquake
~$2.12
This card is a MUST for the Red. Out of stock all the time...

6.Avenger of Zendikar
~$3.64
Although its a 5GG, it could be a key card to win the game.

7.Smother
~$2.05
One of the best Black cards in WWK. Most of creatures could be killed by it.

8.Vampire Nighthawk
~$2.31
The card is always demanding since Zendikar released

9.Amulet of Vigor
~$2.79
The untap ability could be a nightmare.

10.Luminarch Ascension
~$2.44
If you could not destroy this enchantment, you are about to lose the game. I know some of the players building their Deck based on this card. No doubt.

RIPOFF (just overpriced)

6.Avenger of Zendikar

RIPOFF (a bad card, couldn't win games, I could get mine for $1)

One of the best Black cards in WWK. Most of creatures could be killed by it.

RIPOFF ( $2.05 for an uncommom. get real)

RIPOFF (too much for uncommons)


the uncommons i could get for $.50. they are in demand but get real here man

My take on these prices:

Needle: unsurprised
Colonnade: I usually see it closer to 7, but not hugely surprised
Verdant, Malakir, Quake: unsurprised
Avenger: 3-4 wtf? Really? awkward.
Smother: kinda expected it at a dollar. Tops. Maybe Extended's really eating up the stock, but that's kinda pricey.
Nighthawk: yep. Foils go for like 6, 8 for the promos.
Amulet: wtf, it's EDH at best. No one's broken it yet, it's .50 to 1 dollar rare.
Luminarch: wow, that came down. Used to be like 5-6.


I'm basing these prices off of a general average of a variety of places. There's a hobby show that runs Saturdays and Wednesdays around here that like 8 dealers have booths in, including Shuffle and Cut and Strategy Games.

I think Amulet's being held up almost exclusively by people who are just utterly addicted to their taplands.
