U4GM - 7 Efficient Farming Routes to Earn Pandaria Classic Gold Faster
For players diving into World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria Classic, earning gold efficiently is essential to fund your gear, enchants, consumables, and mounts. As someone who has spent countless hours farming in the Jade Forest, Townlong Steppes, and beyond, I’ve discovered several reliable and rewarding methods to earn gold while also enjoying the scenic beauty of Pandaria. If you're looking to earn gold quickly or planning to buy WoW Mop Classic Gold cheap, this guide will point you in the right direction.
Here are 7 of the most effective farming routes and methods I personally tested to keep my coin pouch full.
1. Windwool Cloth Farming – Kun-Lai Summit
Humanoid mobs in Zouchin Village and the Shado-Pan Monastery area drop plenty of Windwool Cloth. If you’re a tailor, you’ll benefit even more from passive drop increases. I typically farmed here in 30–45 minute intervals and sold stacks of Windwool Cloth for great profit. Pair this with a vendor mount to offload greys and it becomes a consistent gold maker.
2. Ghost Iron Ore Mining – Valley of the Four Winds & Jade Forest
As a miner, I found that looping through these zones offered not only a tranquil farming experience but also plenty of Ghost Iron Nodes. On high-pop servers, early morning or late night sessions helped avoid competition. Smelt the ore or sell raw—both can be profitable depending on market trends.
3. Spirit of Harmony and Mote of Harmony Farming – Dread Wastes
Killing mantid mobs in the Dread Wastes nets a fair number of Motes of Harmony. Combine ten motes into one Spirit of Harmony, which you can use to buy high-value crafting materials. I typically banked these for rare crafting or traded them for Golden Lotus and Trillium Bars—key components in lucrative crafting.
4. Skinning and Leather Farming – Valley of the Four Winds
If you’re a skinner, farming goats and mushan in this area gives a steady supply of Exotic Leather. As a Leatherworker, I crafted PvP gear which sold steadily. Even if you don’t craft, raw materials fetch a decent price. This was one of my go-to routes early in Mists Classic.
5. Sha Crystal and Disenchanting – Timeless Isle & Auction House Flipping
Running older dungeons or buying cheap rare items on the Auction House for disenchanting can yield Sha Crystals and other enchanting mats. I did this often as an Enchanter and combined it with a bit of AH speculation to flip materials. It’s a lower-effort but high-return strategy if you enjoy the economic side of WoW.
6. Pet Battles and Rare Pet Farming – Multiple Zones
Some Pandaria pets like the Jade Owl or Emerald Proto-Whelp are in demand. I spent time camping spawn locations and leveling battle pets, then sold them on the Auction House. It's niche but surprisingly lucrative. This is perfect for casual sessions when you want a change of pace.
7. Daily Quests and Reputation Grinds – Golden Lotus, Klaxxi, Shado-Pan
Reputation factions offer dailies that reward gold, gear, and tokens. I found mixing daily quests with farming routes broke up the grind while keeping gold flowing. These can be repeated across alts, multiplying your earnings. Completing them also opens up profession recipes and gear for resale.
