The Nickname Thread
Ok, it was bound to happen and now it has. Shadowex3 made a comment in another thread and it inspired me to share some of the nicknames my group uses for cards. Here goes:
Sakura-Tribe Elder- Steve. S-TEve, get it? I can't claim credit for this one, but I got it off the internet somewhere and it stuck with us.
Siege-Gang Commander- Gang-Bang Commander. This one is not clever, so of course I am responsible.
Avatar of Woe- Avatar of WOAH!
Uril, the Miststalker- Lemmiwinks. Uril makes you think of Rabbid Wombat, and somehow there's a link to hamsters and thus South Park.... I don't know; it's a stretch but it's here to stay with us.
Jaya Ballard, Task Mage- Cher. C'mon, how can you not see it?
Mother of Runes- Mom. Yeah, everyone uses this one.
Dark Confidant- Bob. Once again, commonplace.
Azusa, Lost but Seeking- Ms. Salad-Tosser, or just 'tosser.
Experimental Kraj- Radioactive Grandma. Credit to my friend Alli, who doesn't even play Magic. She's from Wisconsin, so that explains it.
Hanna, Ship's Navigator- Princess Di. Too soon?
Explosive Vegetation- 'Sploding Veggies!
Maze of Ith- Git-Mo.
Final Judgment- Summer camp.
Razia, Boros Archangel- Clobberilla. Futurama reference.
Skullclamp- The clamps! Another Futurama reference.

Oblivion Ring - many call it O-ring, we call it Nuva Ring, I wouldn't ask why if I were you.
Jace, the Mind Sculptor - Jesus, the Mind Savior. Yes, he is as epic as Jesus.
Llanowar Elves - Lawnmower Elves
Wild Natal, Steppe Lynx, Felidar Soveriegn, and even Ajani Vengeant - each are reffered to as Power Kitty. Which leads me to:
Grazing Gladehart - Power Deer.
Note: those last two were created by Zane Pugh, and as such are irrelevent to anything you ever talk about or think of.
If any more come to mind I'll be sure to post them.

Heh, forgot Lawnmower elves! That one's a classic.
Thanks for the comments, guys. Keep 'em coming!

Back in the day when I used to actually play with a group of people ( I now only play online ), me and my friends used to call Prodigal Sorcerer "Tim". We thought it looked like Tim the Sorcerer from Monty Python and the Holy Grail... There were a few differant blue creatures that had the same ability as "Tim" had, so we went a little further and named them differant "Tim" names. For example, there was a blue creature that had flying that had Tim's ability, so we called him "Tim-on-a-stick". I don't remember the names of the cards now, but we had a differant "Tim" name for each card.

Cruel/Brilliant/Clarion/Violent/Titanic Ultimatum :
Cruel/Brilliant/Clarion/Violent/Titanic Tomato.
I don't know why, but when a Cruel Tomato hits, you're screwed.
