I guess, most of them are standard players.

Avenger of Zendikar enters the battlefield with those 0/1 green Plant creature token. Though its a 7mana creature, if using with the green planeswalker, its insane.

The use of Stoneforge Mystic + Adventuring Gear would be very nice.

Because they are both good cards? Avenger is more of a multiplayer beast for the slower type of casual game (like EDH) but that doesn't make it a bad card. I bought a set the day it was spoiled. Adventuring gear is being played competitive right now in standard (Koros runs 2 main board)

I'm not sure about Avenger of Zendikar, but Adventuring Gear is a really good card, used in Kor Equipment decks. Pretty brutal on Steppe Lynx early game.

right i remember that deck... going 0-4 at FNM. nobody plays it anymore. at fnm the deck i saw were valakut x3, jund x4, bant x4, :manau::manab: conrol x1, :manag::manab::manau: mill x1, :manaw::manau: control x3, time sieve x1, red deck wins x1, red deck wins with black x2, and FAILFISH(deemed by owner) x1 and that was the entire place.

Bioeye, FNM is a highly local event. Your experiences may differ from someone else's, so it would be hasty to say the Koros deck is totally out of favor.
