Why Are There No...
Why are there no allies in the Rise of the Eldrazi set. I finally get a decent Ally deck going and there are no more to play with. This is bull-crap!!
Does anybody else feel the same way? Or what are your thoughts on there being no new Allies.

doesn't really go with the set.
but yes, I agree that they probably could release a few more allies...possibly in a future set.
tho it could be worse...could've been like ninjutsu :P
"you like ninjas? well here's 8 of them, most of which aren't any good...and that's all you will ever get."

I feel the same. I'd really like to see more allies especially some multicolored allies. Wouldn't it be great to have a 3BR ally with the ability, "Whenever ____ comes into play or another ally comes into play under your control, destroy target nonland permanent." That's actually too strong probably. You'd have to include a phrase like. "Choose target nonland permanent, destroy it if its converted mana cost is equal or less than the number of allies you control."
I also wouldn't mind seeing a white blue ally that becomes unblockable when another ally enters play.
Or maybe a 4/4 defender ally that gives all allies you control +1/+1 till end of turn whenever an ally enters play.
What do you guys think?

it's nothing that new or distant from existing mechanics
"level up" is just a multi-kicker that can be paid progressively over time

How long have you been playing? Level up has been around since Eventide and super-powerful fatties have been around longer than that.

Rise of the Eldrazi, while still set in Zendikar, is supposed to be it's own large, independant entity, mechincally different from the Zendikar and Worldwake. That's why there's no landfall, allies, and RoE has it's own basic lands. It's going to be drafted alone, too.
I don't remember why they decided to do it this way, but it was a conscious decision on Wizards' part.

the same thing as changelings
when they switch how they design the set, they don't need to use them
if you think about it, what is the point of having more allies, when it has already covered each aspect

there are a lot of allies already, more then enough to make multiple decks with multiple strategies and color choices. Besides these creature types tend to come back over time.
