Tounament questions
I was just wondering what the rules and qualifications are? I dont really know much about it. All i know is how to play with friends. I dont know what the precursors or rules are during "draft" tounaments or anything like that, hell i dont even know what the definition of "draft" is lol, or what the "formats" are. Like ive seen things like "vintage","Standard", "legacy" and "extended" , and i dont even know what that means. Ad then you have the "type 1" "1.5", "1.x" "2", and it all just gets really confusing. Id like to start playing in tournaments, but i need to know all about this stuff. I do know however that my deck is made out of mostly world wake cards pulled from boosters. So if you can please steer me in the right direction id appreciate it. Thanks.

Find That Guy. The one nobody plays with anymore because he wins in "cheap" or "lame" ways. Start playing against him until you can reliably beat him. Until then any sort of sanctioned play event is just going to be throwing money down the drain.

I disagree with Shadow on this point. Maybe constructed is a waste of money, but playing limited (i.e. draft and sealed) is a fantastic way to raise your play skill and get some tournament play in. Give it a try, see how you like it, if you want to do more then you can dump some time & money into constructed. I like tournament magic, it's different. I also find it difficult to play 'kitchen-table' magic these days, so take it how you will.
Slightly off-topic, Rise of the Eldrazi draft is amaaaazingly fun. Try it.
