My Magic My Deck: Part 2, Red deck wins most of the time
Dreadwaffle Back with more stories about standard adventures with one of the most infuriating match-ups against me, RDW. The game hit the round limits even, and it was a 1-1 tie for the round. It was so confusing on what the right play was and then what to sideboard out. But in the end, the games would usually come down to these cards pinned against me:
http://gatherer.wizards.com/Handlers/Image.ashx?multiverseid=193482&type=cardhttp://gatherer.wizards.com/Handlers/Image.ashx?multiverseid=194927&type=cardhttp://gatherer.wizards.com/Handlers/Image.ashx?multiverseid=177501&type=card
With the summons usually being 5/5 and bushwhacker on the same turn of course. All three games were extremely close and ended up whether or not my opponent was "out of gas" or if i had no Day of Judgment. The deck i was running can be found here. It was made by one of my friends and he gave me around half of the cards for the tournament to use it. But my sideboard consisted of:
4x Spreading Seas
3x Negate
1x Luminarch Ascension
2x Wall of Reverence
2x Intimidation Bolt
2x Celestial Purge
1x Telemin Performance
And I had to sideboard in everything except the Telemin Performance and Luminarch Ascension just to hold more of a front. And if you looked at my deck list, I am still using Fatestitcher combo because; 1. Fatestitcher is a control creature, 2. The combo with Splinter Twin works effectively at the end of my opponents turn, and 3. FREAKIN UNEARTH! I actually got to use the combo 3 times the entire 5 round FNM with me going a somewhat impressive 3-1-1. I almost had another tie against an Open the Vaults deck.
But when I was playing against RDW, I was playing against the best player at where I go to FNM, so I knew that mistakes by my opponent were out of the question. And this got me to thinking, how fast can a RDW deck get? So I have decided to show you all of my ideas about what I call the "RDW rule" and cards that are more than acceptable in the deck.
RDW rule
Thou shalt count cards
By X damage for X mana
What I mean by this is how much damage per cost, a perfect example is Demigod Of Revenge, it is 5 damage for 5 mana with one, 10 damage for 5 mana with two, 15 damage for 5 mana with three, and 20 damage for 5 mana with four.

Impressive Huh?
But that was last standard, this one is new. This one has no 5-color control, no Regal Force Elves, and NO FAERIES! (in my opinion the Fae are more annoying than Jund was.) But to the deckbuilding, we have just the regular old burn spells that are really generic:
http://gatherer.wizards.com/Handlers/Image.ashx?multiverseid=193982&type=cardhttp://gatherer.wizards.com/Handlers/Image.ashx?multiverseid=191089&type=cardhttp://gatherer.wizards.com/Handlers/Image.ashx?multiverseid=177558&type=card
And a few more interesting ones:
http://gatherer.wizards.com/Handlers/Image.ashx?multiverseid=193571&type=cardhttp://gatherer.wizards.com/Handlers/Image.ashx?multiverseid=174917&type=card
With Punishing Fire and Flame Slash being honorable mentions, and that Staggershock IS Flame Javelin. You can argue that Blightning should not be in the deck, but when being able to run Dragonskull Summit and Lavaclaw Reaches it is more usable, and it punishes anyone keeping cards they need in their hand. But creatures there is a less defined line, all you need is a lot of damage fast as well:
http://gatherer.wizards.com/Handlers/Image.ashx?multiverseid=193482&type=cardhttp://gatherer.wizards.com/Handlers/Image.ashx?multiverseid=174799&type=cardhttp://gatherer.wizards.com/Handlers/Image.ashx?multiverseid=176455&type=cardhttp://gatherer.wizards.com/Handlers/Image.ashx?multiverseid=170977&type=cardhttp://gatherer.wizards.com/Handlers/Image.ashx?multiverseid=194912&type=cardhttp://gatherer.wizards.com/Handlers/Image.ashx?multiverseid=191393&type=cardhttp://gatherer.wizards.com/Handlers/Image.ashx?multiverseid=170987&type=cardhttp://gatherer.wizards.com/Handlers/Image.ashx?multiverseid=177501&type=card
And I wish Brimstone Mage would work
And capping off the deck with lands consisting of the usual Scalding Tarn, Arid Mesa, Smoldering Spires, and of course Teetering Peaks. But one card makes the entire deck take a lot more skill to use, Devastating Summons. Two 5/5 creatures with a kicked Goblin Bushwhacker, good game sir

Red Deck wins is a painful match for most decks and the mirror is decided off a roll of the dice. Personally Boros Bushwhacker is more fun to me, and yet again I have made more crazy decks. I do not want to give out a deck list because I am terrible at making fast decks and therefore should not give you one. This article is really short because this is really all I have to say about RDW, but this is just epic, yes one word, epic. I am DreadWaffle and that is the Insight.
P.S. wish I had my own one of these and this is my fourth article

Javelin can kill a 4 toughness guy. But the mana's much more strict.

All the card have different powers but I like all the cards because all the card have great power to destroy something and that is the main requirement for the player and the game. So Any body like any of the card doesn't matter but I like them all.

Not sure what you mean by cut you down but Flame Javelin vs. Staggershock is a matter of different advantages really. Staggershock you can two-for-one someone (maybe) but Flame Javelin kills bigger beasties. Mana's much easier on Staggershock too.

Well for staggershock, it can have 2 targets which is fine. And if we are going to kill a creature just sideboard Flame Slash, seriously. Flame Slash is annoying against a deck with wall defenses. With the Toughness usually needing to be 4 so it is out of lightning bolt range, a lot of walls are */4 (power may vary)

Flame Javelin is surely not a Stagger Shock. or same power level in Flame Javelin I like this game very much. Each and every character has its own power.
