Phytohydra
I'm sure this question has been asked before just not recently. I just wanted to try to get some clearification about the creature Phytohydra. All damage "dealt" to it is turned into +1/+1 counter kind of like an opposite wither right? So even as it is a 1/1 it can not be destroyed by damage. This question came up while playing a couple of weeks ago. When do the counters get added to it? I havn't played since about 7th edition so I want to try to get some clearification with the changes in the rules to the attack phase.
Thanks
Maximgaia

The counters get added to it instead of damage. It's a replacement effect that doesn't use the stack, so you can't respond to it. They get added immediately.

just terminate the wretch :)
If you don't attack into it it's just an expensive 1/1. Nothing to get excited about. At the same manacost they could be playing stuffy doll.
