Can you give some links to your "noob" old decks? maybe the way forward is improving them, rather than asking for open suggestions on how to make pro decks :)

netdeck good lists and/or spend hundreds of dollars on the best cards in whatever format.

First off, who cares what your friend thinks. If I were you, I'd tell him/her to help me get better rather than calling me a noob to satisfy their ego.

Yeah, you can just spend hundreds of dollars on the best cards/decks, build the decks that win the big tournaments, kick your friends ass in the game, then call HIM a noob. Or you could just ignore him, enjoy the game, get what you can get, and build your own decks, and not the ones everyone else are using. That's how great decks are made, by people experimenting.
