Training grounds and Kazuul, Tyrant of the Cliffs

Ok, this is a stupid question.

Two cards,

Training Grounds and Kazuul, Tyrant of the Cliffs

Would my having training grounds in play reduce the 3 mana that my opponent would have to pay to prevent me from spawning a 3/3 ogre to 1 mana.

I friggin' hope not.

No it would not because that is not an activated ability by the creature. Like Mana Leak. If training grounds was in play and you played Mana Leak, the other person would still have to pay :mana3:

Mana Leak isn't a creature though, so it certainly wouldn't be effected. Kazuul is a creature under my control, I guess the question is, "is his ability an activated ability?"

no, it's a triggered ability, not an activated one
