Combat Damage
I was wondering about how combat damage is assigned to blockers.
Say a 8/8 is blocked by a 5/5 4/4 2/2
How is damage assigned to the blockers and who assigns it?
If you look it up a link would be great thank you

"310.2c A blocked creature will assign combat damage, divided as its controller chooses, to the creatures blocking it."

the controller of the attacking creature chooses how to split damage over several blockers and in what order. He must assign lethal damage (= an amount equal to the toughness of the blocker) to the first blocker before he can assign damage to the next and so on. The only exception is creatures with deathtouch, he can assign 1 damage to a blocker and move to the next.

Thanks guys, I thought thats how it was, but my friends claimed that on the mtg game on xbox 360 it was the blocker that declared damage(which made no sense) So now atleast I have proof. Thanks guys
