Well, I like M11 from what I've seen but didn't open anything really great at the pre-release. I did get Gaea's Revenge and Serra Ascendant which both seemed pretty good though.

Didn't do well in the tournament but that's all right, it's really about playing with new cards and people right?

I started out rather pissed off. I opened my six boosters for registration and opened

1 foil day of judgement
1 regular day of judgement
1 baneslayer angel
1 birds of paridise
1 Demon of Death's Gate
1 Dragonskull Summit
1 Honour of the Pure

I handed them in and as usual got a crap pool in return. I really hate this method of starting a tournement. It just sucks. I had the exact same thing with M10 and the guy who recieved my pool won the tournament.

o well, at least I made it into the top 8, met some cool people and traded some fine cards. Still this opening and handing in cards bothers me so much I feel like this was my last time. No more!

That sounds like a good start at a pool. Why would you trade it in?

Because it's mandatory! You open 6 boosters, write down the cards on the registration form and hand them in. Then you get from all the pools opened a random pool. Isn't that the way it's done everywhere?

I always do prerelease at the same place so I wouldn't know. I don't play a lot of sealed, I like draft far better.

and "a good start" is an understatement, you pretty much can't loose with a pool like that

At our place you keep the cards you open and there is no trade-in option

At the place that I play we just keep our pools. I wouldn't hand over a Baneslayer any day.lol. But maybe you get them back. How many people were at your pre release?

Yeah Seth that really does suck.

I'm happy to say that I had a great time at my M11 prerelease. Even though I was middle of the pack when it came to stats I still walked out with some amazing cards.

From my packs (from what I can remember) I pulled and Ajani Goldmane, Angelic Arbiter, and a Mitotic Slime.

A few trades a later I walked out with Another Ajani, two Felidar Soverigns, two Admonition Angels, two Roil Elementals, and a few commons and uncommons that went right into my white deck. It was definitely a great day.
