ajani's pridemate, soul warden/attendant

Ok, so let's say I have a soul warden, a soul attendant, and an ajani's pridemate on the field. So now if I play a creature card I then gain a life from the warden and I may gain another life from the attendant.

So does this mean ajani's pridemate gets one or two +1/+1 counters on it?
I know if I have two wardens I dont get 2 counters because I am gaining life from the two same sources at the same time.

you get two counters

also, two sources with the same name are still two different sources...two wardens would each trigger to give you life and to add a token to the pridemate.

Since her ability is activated as a creature comes in to play, then both cards are activated at the same time giving me 2 life at the same time, right? And the pridemates ability is only activated when I gain life, so getting 2 counters requires 2 separate instances of gaining life.

it is 2 separate instances. you have to look at the sources of the life gain, the timing doesn't matter.

though technically they are not "at the same time" either. both abilities get triggered by the creature coming in to play but each goes on the stack separately. as the controller of the ability you get to chose which order they go in (which is inconsequential most of the time) and your opponent can't respond "in between" them on the stack.

but they do indeed remain two separate events and therefor pridemate's ability triggers twice.
