Activation Email

I am trying to register on MTG Vault, however I haven't received the activation email and I don't see a way to resend the activation email (I have however clicked the button to reset my password, hoping that would be enough. I received that email right away, reset my password but still can't log in because my account hasn't been activated yet).

Hi

I have activated your account manually, so you should be able to login etc now. It looks liek the email was sent out (we get bcc'd on them). Not gone into your junk mail or anything?

Nope, I checked my spam folder too..and the email to reset my password went strait to my inbox, so I'm not sure what happened to the activation email. Thank you very much for manually activating my account!

I've got the same issue. Spent a few hours between signing up trying the reset password method as well. Likewise it didn't help. I did get both the reset password and "thanks for joining the forums" emails. No activation though in inbox, spam, or trash.

Thanks for the updates. Think I'm gonna have to put a message on the signup form to warn of this! Also need to direct people here if they don't receive the email within an hour or something... save the waiting around.

tried to register last night, still didn't get any registration email username is Tafkadasoh.

I also have a friend who showed me this site that didn't recieve his activation email can only guess his username would be so.sad since I'm not 100% sure.

It's been a few hours now, and no mail has appeared. My bf ordered me to make my own deck so I would stop stealing his, but I'm in no hurry. So please, take your time.

I received the email, but when I went to click it, it disappeared from Yahoo email. I have no idea why...It happened simultaneously on my phone and the computer. I just need another email, or my acct to be activated. Thanks.

As I said the other day I've taken a look at this now. We have 76,541 registered users (:)) and 8,515 of them had not activated their email address (and therefore, have never logged in). This could be for any number of reasons including them being bots trying to post spam, the reason the confirmation was required in the first place!

I've decided to run a little experiment and I've turned off the code that only lets confirmed accounts login, so now, as soon as you register a new account you are able to login. I will monitor the site and see what effect this has i.e. see if any unconfirmed accounts start posting spam and we'll go from there.

Yay for not having to manually approve accounts anymore, sorry to everybody who had troubles in the past! :)
