What's your favourite format?
I don't think this question's been asked in thread form, but if it has it got buried a loooong time ago. So...what's your favourite? Legacy? Vintage? Standard, Block, Extended? Or are you a Limited fiend for some Drafts? Casual player? Love it. Maybe something like EDH Vanguard Planechase Archenemy is your thing? Let us know!

I`m a casual palyer and i love Legacy. The answer is simple, making use of all cards is much more fun than making use of a limited amount.

multiplayer EDH and legacy (still new to the legacy thing but I'm liking the format a lot)

Vintage planar multiplayer with no range limits. It gets quite interesting when you've got a terminator-march of eldrazi blasting things off the table, artifacts throwing counters around like nobody's business, the elf deck dumping EVERYTHING, izzet playing "lets see who taps more" and cascade dumping six spells for the price of one every turn and then some... and then somebody planeswalks to somewhere batshit.
Or alternatively hitting goldmeadow with a lot of land-accel decks being played. "Ggggooooaaats" has become a bit of a running joke.

A new favorite format of mine I recently played was attack left(or right) best if played with 4 or more.

I love the idea of Vintage, but the format has no support and is destined to fall further and further into obscurity. I used to play 10-proxy tournies, but I haven't had the time to stay competetive for several years now.
I've been loving multiplayer EDH (often with Planechase supplement) lately. It's so refreshing to go back to the old days when our decks really were around 100 cards, and object of the game was to drop the first Elder Dragon Legend! It probably helps that it's the polar opposite of Vintage, and really gives a greater perspective on how to approach deck-building in different ways.

Well I say vintage but only because that's the ban/restricted list we follow and that's it.

standard because it's easier to build a cheap competitive deck

Huh, I never posted my favourites...Well, I'm a big fan of most draft formats, Standard right now's pretty diverse and I love EDH. I used to play competitive Legacy, but my favorite deck's not really good right now, so I'm laying low until the format changes up some more.

Was that competetive Legacy before the split with the Vintage Restricted list, by any chance?

sadly no, modern legacy. I can't afford the power for Vintage either, otherwise I'd probably play. Oath looks like a fun deck, and Jace is apparently good in Vintage. Who knew?

Actually, a lot of Vintage tournaments are becoming increasingly lenient with the use of proxies. I played several years ago with ten proxies, and got by with my most expensive cards being dual lands and fetches (which, I admit, were a LOT cheaper when I obtained them then they are now). I hear fifteen is becoming more of the standard number for proxies now. You should be fine to play most archetypes with that many freebees. Just not Workshop decks!

Hmm, that's interesting. Apparently over in Europe there's enough Power to actually have for-real Vintage tourneys. They don't like proxies. Regardless, I'll stick with draft and standard for the time being (unless the stupid legacy list for PyroAscension I'm thinking of actually works).

Oh, that does change things. I've read that there actually is less Power floating around in the 'States. I never knew if it was true, but there's some confirmation.

I am mostly a casual player, but I like legacy a lot and I think of starting on standard in the near future, as the current standard looks fun.
