about the elspeth vs tezzeret duel deck box...

hi guys... im not the most experienced player, i have a couple of decks and generally only buy singles online (ebay for the most part) as i dont really like the 'gambling' feel of booster packs (though i need to buy some m11 packs in the vain hope that i might get either a primevil titan or 4, or sufficient cards to fund/trade for em).

anyway, i saw the elspeth vs tezzeret duel box, and it peaked my interest because i have a white deck and would love elspeth...

my wonder however, is would it atall be worth buying 4 of the decks, to get playsets of the cards? or are elspeth/tezzeret the only cards worth getting from them, and thus would be better to just buy them as singles and spend the rest of the money on m11 boosters? (trying to find cheapish booster boxes in england, its not going well)

anyway, cheers in advance!

Think of it this way: Elspeth and Tezzy both rotate from Standard soon. Is it worth it to burn that much money on playsets of both? Btw, Starcitygames.com and shuffleandcut.com both have good prices to base your comparisons off of, singles-wise.

Elspeth was going 40 euro a card before the deul deck, now you can get her cheaper. Just check what the cheapest is you can get her and if it's not below 15 euro it's still worth the duel deck.
The duel deck has Swords to Plowshares and Elspeth and a bunch ofther very useful cards.

As for buying 4 boxes. I did buy 2 because I already had 2xElspeth and I like having a set. That said I think 3xElspeth is the max I'll ever play in a deck.

As for what NightLoki Said, if you care about standard then take it into concideration. If you play casual know that Elspeth is a very lousy multiplayer planeswalker. If you play or see yourself playing legacy one day know that Elspeth is one of the best 1 vs 1 planeswalkers out there and I doubt that will change any time soon. Elspeth sees a lot of play in legacy and she shines.

I was just looking at the decklists, and I have to say that they are two of the worst values among all the sealed products. Besides the planeswalkers themselves, I see the Swords to Plowshares and Mishra's Factory as the only cards worth more than a buck. I would advise against buying it.

I think Cardshark.com has the best prices on average; I'd look for what you want on there.

20 euro for 2 swords to plowshares + Eslpeth + Tezerret was good last time I checked.

I somehow forgot to factor the value of the planeswalkers themselves into the equation. Not my finest moment...

I take back what I said (except for cardshark).

For USA prices I have never once seen cardshark beat regular store prices (use store.tcgplayer for comparisons) when you include all the seperate shipping people charge you on cardshark.

Yeah Elspeth is still $25 on the low end by herself, let alone Foil.
