No you can`t make your creature indestructible because while it`s on stack it still counts as a spell. Even if you could, it wouldn`t save your creature because caunterspells don`t destroy, they cancel. So unless your creature has "This creature can`t be countered" or if you can`t reply to your opponents counterspell by countering it, your creature spell will go to the graveyard.

Right answer, wrong reason. Since the Angel isn't on the battlefield yet, you can't activate its abilities. Abilities on permanents can only be activated while they're on the battlefield unless otherwise stated on the card. Like Cycling, for instance.

I think you misread loki. he has the angel on the battlefield already and he is trying to play a creature spell.

the angel's ability does not save the other creature from being countered. in the first place, the creature you're casting is not in play yet so you cant target it w/ the angel. if he allowed you to play the creature then he cast a doom blade on the creature then you can respond to it by making it indestructible. it will not work w/ counterspell though
