Will this work?

Here is the set up.

I'm playing EDH against a friend who is playing a sliver deck. He has 2 basic slivers in play plus he just cast his general, Sliver Overlord. I have Steel Overseer and Master Transmuter. During my turn I draw Triskelion and cast him and activate Overseer's ability. My question is this: Can I remove the 4 counters and deal 4 damage to Overlord, then activate Master Transmuter to bounce Triskelion back to my hand, then return him to the battlefield to pop off the next 3 counters in order to finish off Overlord?

so if I return an artifact to my hand with Master Transmuter, I can choose to put that same artifact back into play? I don't mean by recasting him...I want to return him to play using the ability.

I don't see why not, the returning of an artifact is part of the activation cost and does not use the stack. Once the ability resolves you are already holding the returned artifact and Transmuter says you can put any artifact into play.

Ya, i've seen that kind of play with the transmuter plenty of times. There is that 3/5 artifact creature that when it comes into play search for an artifact in your deck (I don't remember the name). I've seen people return that and play it with the transmuter to keep searching their decks...
