Contagion Engine vs Indomitable Archangel

I get that playing Contagion Engine triggers a world effect agianst all my creatures so shroud does them no good but looking at this proliferate ability, nowhere in there does it say "target" permanant. I kinda fear I already know the answer, just wanted to get some other opinions, does the shroud effect from the Indomitable Archangel protect my other artifact creatures from being targeted by his proliferate ability, if only untill the angel dies?

If your opponent cast contagion engine than no, shroud has no effect because it is targeting you not the creatures.

If you cast the Engine than you get to choose which player's creatures get the -1/-1 counters.
