What is frist strike

If i have 6\6 without first strike and 6\6 with first strike will we die together

the 6/6 with first strike will live. in damage dealing the creature that has first strike (as the name suggest) will strike first, killing the other creature and not giving it a chance to hit the other creature with first strike.
