Shroud Problems
Alright this is an annoying problem I have already solved in my favor but has arisen again. I play slivers I have a nice one called Crystalline Sliver it gives "All Slivers Shroud" and two good ones called Clot, and Crypt Sliver They "2:Regenerate this Sliver, and Tap: Regenerate target sliver." So what happens is I use Crypt Sliver to Regenerate the sliver that used the ability (I regenerated the one I tapped), while Crystalline Sliver is on the field. So the original guy who answered this put it in my favor that it works, but I'm still having problems bringing it about to other friends i play with so either tell me is this works or not because I'm annoyed with the arguments so I just want an answer.
Thank-You

Crystalline Sliver makes Crypt Sliver's ability useless.
This is because the ability granted by Crypt Slivers targets (it says "target Sliver"), and a creature with shroud cannot be the target of spells or abilities.
So if there is a Crystalline Sliver on the battlefield, no Sliver is a legal target for the ability granted by Crypt Sliver. Similarly, it makes Poultice Sliver's and Magma Sliver's abilities useless, and interferes with some of the abilities granted by a few other Slivers: Cautery Sliver (the damage-preventing one), Firewake Sliver (the +2/+2 one), and Sliver Overlord (the control-taking one).
(personally, I use Crystalline Slivers anyway; they are, in my opinion, the best Sliver)
Clot Sliver works fine, though. Nowhere does it say "target," so nothing about it targets anything. Therefore, shroud won't interfere with it.

Thank you for clearing that up. We have these arguments all the time and always appreciate a 3rd party to look in on it.

If i have an indominatable angel, and then someone tries to doomblade it, can i use ilquid metal coating to turn it into an artifact and shroud it after the doom blade was cast?

yeah, that works. Doomblade would have an illegal target once it resolves and would have no efffect.

It has, cou can't cast a spell if there is no legal target for it. That said a spell still has to have a legal target when it resolves, if it doesn't it "fizzles" (= the spell is countered upon resolution).
