I'm not exactly sure how Glissa helps infect. Maybe you're seeing something I'm not. I think Infect, though, is something they are trying to push. Because it was introduced when the Zen block was still dominant, I think they had to make it kind of weak since it doesn't mesh too well with the rest of standard. But now that it has been out for a while and the second set is close, I think we will see Infect become alot stronger, and maybe something competitive come out of it.

1. the fact that it has deathtouch and first strike plus its :manag::manab: which is the best color combination that i've seen for infect. 2. you get an artifact back whenever it kills something add corpse cur to your deck. and add putrefax and start throwing infect artifacts and putrefax recklessly at your opponent. plus you dont even have to use glissas artifact ability shes a bitch on her own. but yeah infect will definitely grow stronger as far as i've seen.

I haven't considered much with the MBS spoiler so far, but from what we have I've noticed something I've wanted to do since SOM's release. It's not so much a combo, as a set of cards that seem to play well together.


Painsmith, Memnite, Ornithopter, Viridian Corrupter, Shimmer Myr, Plague Myr, and Glissa, the Traitor.

I've been considering taking Painsmith out of standard to use some of the older "flash" artifacts to spring surprise deathdouch after blockers are assigned (especially with cards such as Lure or Taunting Elf). Shimmer Myr brings that to standard. And between -1/-1 infect counters and deathtouch, as well as the uncommon bomb that is Viridian Corrupter, Glissa will have plenty of creature removal to abuse artifact recursion in whichever way you can abuse the most (Kuldotha Forgemaster and Thopter Assembly come to mind first, as well as Throne of Geth and Necropede).

Unfortunately, I may never see a Glissa.. I'm not passing up the Hero of Bladehold pre-release promo. Then again I did open a full set of Wurmcoil Engines in my SoM box.. so anything can happen.
