They go too.

Protection from white doesn't stop a creature from dieing to Wrath of God because Wrath of God doesn't do any of the things that protection from white prevents, which are (DEBT):

Prevent all Damage that would be dealt to the protected creature by white sources.

The protected creature can't be Enchanted or equipped by white objects.

The protected creature can't be Blocked by white creatures.

The protected creature can't be Targeted by white spells or the abilities of white objects.


Wrath of God deals no damage and does not target (it doesn't say "target" anywhere), so protection doesn't help against it.
