Deck Challenge revisit: Evil deck

Hello again fellow deck builders! Today is a revisit of an old challenge of mine. Having remade my evil deck, I want to see a new wave of truly evil decks arise.

This isn't just control, or unfair tricks. This is a whole new level. These decks have to make your opponent beg for the match to be over.

Go to it everyone! :D

Land Destruct with the Scapeshift Valakut combo...pretty mean, but not that high on the evil scale.

And yeah I'll take a look.

Right, but compare it to this, and you see what I'm looking for. That should be the golden standard for you to strive for. :D

The only reason I class my deck as evil is when i told one the lad who plays FNM he said play it n I'll punch you :) Decided not to ask anyone else if i should play it

hahaha, that's the general response. It's evil, for sure, I just don't think it's very high on the evil scale.

Are you still going to use the Evil Scale you used last time?

My deck Mist of Stagnation is still (in my opinion) my most evil deck. I'm waiting to get my hands on a set of Leyline of the Void and replace Planar Void with it and then playtest to see if that works better.

The Liquimetal Coating + Splinter combo in my deck Land Destruction (Green) mite also be considered quite evil.

This is my 1 v 1 legacy deck (tho ive traded some of it away so its not as cool) But this is what it is supposed to be:

http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=63884

I had a Mindslaver deck running too, but took it apart. Mindslaver every turn just isn't fun. (mindslaver, bringer of the white dawn, archbound relaimer, ect)

From my Experience there is nothing people hate more then a) Land Destruction and b) Mindslaver. So if someone where to build a Land Destruction Mindslaver deck that be funny :D

Hmm...It's a bit evil, but I think you guys need to think in the right frame of mind. On the scale, this would rank as a 2.5-3

Also, my buddy runs a :manab::manaw: evil deck of his own that nails people with endless Mindslavers, and then makes them SACRIFICE all their lands on their turn. It's pretty damn evil...I'd rank it a solid 8.

That's mostly just really annoying. Also, 19,000 wrath effects mean bupkis against a good creatureless extraction, which are inherently 5 minimum.

I'd give it a 3, but bump it up to a 4 for having the balls to run Luminarch.

Balance is pretty mean yeah, but it's just a tool. It's only an annoyance if it's not in the right deck. C'mon people, think bigger picture here.

Black Vise is just "meh", and is also just a tool.

Yep, still a solid 7, which is not bad. Much better than the cotton candy and sprinkles submitted so far :p

And your land destruction sits at 5.5 for its fragility alone. Otherwise, I'd put it to a 6.

Nah, but it's close. The only deck I'd really ever call a full-fledged 0 is my buddy's Two Headed Giant deck. It literally can't win, but is designed to give the other deck (or "head") all kinds of cool stuff, and can wish in other stuff to adapt to what various decks would benefit from most (Example: He wished in a Doubling Season for my Horde Stompy, and also gave me an Akroma's Memorial)

I'd also have to say it's one of the most uniquely designed decks I've ever seen. Really something to experience. :D

See, now that's what I'm talking about!

I'd rank them as follows:

MBC = 8.3 (I've implemented a very thorough spread-sheet/checklist thingy that allows more accurate ratings)

Reanimator = 7.9

Countertop Braids = 9.1 (I'm really surprised, but this is where my system threw you, so congrats...Hellspawn)

It's enormous. There's no way I can send it over teh interwebz. It does factor in douchery to a slight degree, so that might have done it...but I dunno. Looking at the whole thing, that is a pretty damn evil deck.

My latest extraction, "May God have mercy", ranked a 10.2 which made me laugh. As for my infinite games within games deck, and I can't make this **** up, makes the system display an error page. :D

By the way, 10.2 is about...115 times as evil as a 9.1

Sacrificing means it goes to the graveyard, Bringer of the White Dawn's ability then puts Mindslaver into play again in your upkeep, allowing you to sacrifice it again :p

This deck technically only is/needs 2 colors: white and Black. And technically, it only needs 3 of the cards in it's deck. And it's evil, mainly because of how the way Gloom works now: Activated abilities of white enchantments cost (3) to activate.

So... Enchanted Evening. Everything is an enchantment.
Painters Servant. Everything is a WHITE enchantment.
Gloom. Now everything, including lands, cost 3 mana to activate. And tapping for mana counts as activation.

Not mine, but a friend of ours that uses my husband's account.
http://www.mtgvault.com/Zolaerla/decks/gloom-n-doom/

It doesn't look too bad until you realize that the Oracle text of Gloom is now WAY different. And more potent. It's now "White spells cost {3} more to cast. Activated abilities of white enchantments cost {3} more to activate." Tapping land for mana counts as an activated ability. So with Enchanted Evening and Painters Servant... everything is a white enchantment. So tapping your lands for mana costs 3 mana to do so.

There's also a deck my husband made that works not through milling the deck, but just by exiling the whole thing:
