stabbing pain question
hello. just wanted to ask if i attack with a creature and someones blocks it and then i cast stabbing pain to the blocker, will my creature deal damage or not?

that would depend on the toughness of the blocker, amongst other things.
it Stabbing Pain brings it to zero and you cast the spell in reaction to blockers being declared then the blocker is dead and your creature deals no damage.
if it survives the stabbing pain then combat damage would be resolved as usual.
on the other hand, if you cast Stabbing Pain prior to the Declare Blockers step, say in the Declare Attackers step, and the creature only has 1 toughness then it would be sent to the graveyard and no longer available as a blocker.

Just to clarify, tapping or untapping a creature does not remove it from combat.
