Good card sleeves?
I decided to sleeve my new deck as I've finally decided to invest some money in it, and I don't want it to get ruined, and I was wondering if any particular sleeve is better (quality, fit, durability, etc). I bought some cheap generic no-name sleeves, but the cards seem to flop around in them, and they don't seem very secure or durable.
What do you guys recommend?

I've used Ultra Pro in the past with no problems. At the moment I've just sleeved my Race for the Galaxy with sleeves from Mayday Games. I would recommend either of these companies for sleeves.
I believe the standard size is 63mm x 88mm for Magic cards (this is the size that Mayday recommend at least).

Ultra Pro is the way to go. Those things are practically indestructible, no air pockets, easy shuffle, not too bulky, and a bargain for their price. It's pretty much the only company I get my sleeves from, aside from some custom made ones I've ordered for a few of my favorite decks >_> (My "May God have mercy" deck is sleeved in custom designed ones that are all black and have my signature smiley face in the middle) :D

i've bought a lot of Ultra Pro sleeves and deck boxes and i've been pretty unimpressed with their durability.
the boxes with art on them have all started fading quite a bit, entire portions of it have 'rubbed off' from casual travel in my bag. also, the glue on one of the generic ones has failed.
as for the sleeves, same thing...the plain mono-colour ones have lasted nicely so far but all the art sleeves have started peeling along the corners and edges.
I'm not buying any more products from them.

Yeah their art sleeves are oddly not up to par,. When I buy from them it's just the blank color ones, because those are durable as hell. If I want art on the sleeves then I go Dragon or KMC.
I also take very good care of my decks, and don't do "messy" shuffles, so that might be a factor too.

The KMC Gloss ones are actually really durable.

I use green ultra pro matte for all my decks. Yes its boring but I like the lime green color, and it makes it easy to swap cards from deck to deck so I dont have to have 16 copies of lightning bolt or memnite(lol) I have yet to damage a single sleeve and I often shuffle using the bridge or just cramming them together so they work very well considering my abuse.

Where did you order said custom sleeves? You've piqued my curiosity thoroughly, and I've been looking for such a service/product/thingamajig for a while now.

I show the design to my shop's owner, and then he faxes the design I think. I wish I could be of more help, but that's basically it. I say "Hey, order me some sleeves that look like that." I pay and he says "You got it boss."
A week or two later, and magically I have custom sleeves waiting for me. :D
I hate to be the "just google it" guy, but honestly, I'd expect a search to come up with something. =/

I've used Ultra Pro, Dragon, and KMC sleeves.
Ultra Pro feel the best. The don't stick together like the KMC or Dragon Shield sleeves, and they also seem to get less dirty.
