lol i haven't been to a fnm in a while now thanks to my job. but i did get to play last night at my local shop (they were having a random standard tourney for fun) and i recognized most people there. I played a straight up burn deck/pyromancer ascension with proliferate. Since kuldotha red has died down big time in my local meta, it performed pretty dang good. besides, its always fun playing 3rd revised lightning bolts:P

I was looking through my old cards, and I could only find a few that are standard legal. There wasn't enough to make a deck, so I'm just going to buy all new cards. That's why I wanted an idea for a cheap deck.

RDW or Red/White aggro are pretty good yet rather budget-friendly...

i made a sweet standard :manar::manag: infect deck that works and is capable of winning on the 2nd turn for only $6.75 the other day.. the most money i'll probably end up putting into it are some rare green/red lands to make it even easier to aquire that turn 2 win.

I ordered cards to build my extraction deck. It was a little more money than I wanted to spend, but what the hell, right... lol. I desided to just order them so that I wouldn't have to worry about the store not having the cards I needed, but I wasn't going to have them in time for FNM, but the store had another Standard Tourney yesterday. So I payed for overnite shipping so that I would have them in time for that. Well, I didn't get them in time, so I had to throw something together with a friends cards real quick. The bad thing is that he is kind of in the same boat as I am. He hasn't played in about the same amount of time as me, so the selection was slim... lol. Anyways, I threw together a pretty lame sligh RDW. I ended up going 2-3, which was better than I was hoping for with my half-assed deck. In one of the matches I was able to race a 10/10 Obliterator for the win somehow. And the other match I won was against was an odd WBG Fauna Shaman Vengevine deck with Stoneforge mystics. It was a pretty decent deck, but I would just sideboard in shatters for his equipment and then my deck was too fast for him.
