Pristine Angel Question (Protection Question)
Even though it has protection from all colors and artifacts, its cast can still be countered by a standard counterspell instant, right?

Far as I can tell, a counter is basically keeping a card from coming into play and becoming whatever horror you plan to unleash. If that's the case, then it wouldn't have protection from a counter.

the spell is countered, it never resolves...until it resolves it is not a creature and it's abilities do not exist.
