Deathspore Removed

If I use deathspore thallid to sac a few saprolings and someone unsummons it in response, does the -1/-1 still happen?

Can you sacrifice, say, 5 saprolings at the same time and have them all resolve?

Here's how i think it happens:
I have priority, i sack 5 saprolings to give a creature -5/-5. I pass priority
my friend has priority then unsummons the deathspore.
I get priority, I have a chance to sack more for more -1/-1 if i want.

As this resolves, deathspore goes to my hand first, all of the -1/-1 goes through because it was already on the stack. not sure though.

Thanks all again!

You are correct. The ability is already added to the stack, casting Unsummon would just prevent you from activating it later once the stack resolves. The only way to prevent Deathspore's -1/-1's from resolving is to use a spell or ability that specifically says "counter target activated ability," or by exiling the stack (such as Sundial of the Infinite).
