Pygmy Hippo Deck Challenge
Hey guys! I'm new here, and I wanna start off with an interesting request/challenge! Hopefully the title says it all, but if you didn't get it the first time I am looking for an awesome Pygmy Hippo deck! No restrictions, except it must be centered around Pygmy Hippo! Good luck and happy building!
Here is link to card:

By the way, here is my take on a deck based around Pygmy Hippo, if you wanted any ideas!

Now that there's no mana burn, your opponent just taps their lands. Still prevents them from countering your stuff in the second main phase, but you don't get any mana. Makes it harder to build around.
Though I do have Pygmy Hippo in my Phelddagriff EDH deck along with the only other hippo-y card I know of, Questing Phelddagriff. I haven't posted the decklist on this site, however.

But if someone less lazy than me wants deckbuilding ideas, you could use Winter Orb type effects to keep them tapped out, or prevent your opponent from making use of "any player may pay" options like... um... Liege of the Hollows?

You can still steal their mana, even if they tap it. Pygmy Hippo drains the mana from their mana pool so it doesn't matter if they are tapped out.

But in the new rules, mana pools empty after each step. You declare attackers (including the hippo), I tap all my lands, and my mana pool empties as we continue to the declare blockers step. The new rules were not kind to this card (though at least it keeps them tapped out for most of your turn).
Someone on Gatherer suggests using Price of Glory, which is interesting but not that useful unless you combine it with yet more cards like Magus of the Candelabra or Ghost Quarter.
