Challenge: I Control You

A friend is trying to make a deck where he imprints Mindslaver onto Prototype Portal to continually control the opponent's turn. Now this 'combo' needs :mana10: to activate every turn and to do this he uses Grand Architect. The problem with the deck is that it's way too slow to stand a chance against the decks current our group plays and as much as I want to help my friend, I suck at playing :manau: :(

Challenge: Make a standard legal :manau: deck that uses the combo above that can stand a chance against the speed of standard decks.

Rules:
1) Have fun
2) Must be :manau:, but can contain other colours to assist.
3) Try to keep it budget(ish)

Not bad and the stuff going out can easily be replaced with other things. Your use of Kuldotha Forgemaster gave me an idea of putting this combo into a Myr deck :p

I made a blueBlack Control deck. It is still pretty rough too But If you replace the plainswalkers and the titans plus sheoldred with Mindslaver Prototype portal and Grand Architect (as well as creatures and Artifacts as you see fit. The Control all comes from the magic) it Could benefit to add myrs (Swamp and and island) and some diabolic tutors.

Let's see the cards that can actually bring Mindslaver back from the grave in standard:

Salvage Scout
Remember the Fallen
Time Reversal
Reclaim
Glissa, the Traitor

Plus whatever Innistrad has to offer to this end.

...Not giving is much leeway on this one, are we?

Edit: sorry forgot about the prototype portal part

Anyhow, I built, yes, ANOTHER elf deck. This one includes the combo, and is more defensively based. I've also made a Worldslayer variant.

It has been a while hasn't it? I've been busy with school, and frankly, I'm nearly out of ideas at this point.

First: Hello, Whitey. Long time :)

Second: My cabbage..e.. senses are tingling.. I've an idea, but it's too loose to build right now. If I don't get too ADD in the next few days I'll put something together.

Here is a deck that might work out for your friend. Basic idea is to get 2 Myr Galvanizers out with a couple myrs on the field and then using the Grand Architect turn them into blue creatures, then tap/untap as needed to get the mana your missing for the Mindslaver combo. Honestly though, I don't think a deck built around this combo will ever be competitive. Also, Tempered steel would be a great addition to this deck as would War Report, but they go against the main theme you wanted so I left them out.
