redirect rulings

Can redirect redirect any spell i play, such as if i play a genesis wave, or tooth and nail, could they redirect the genesis wave or tooth and nail that i play to someone else. and I'm pretty sure they can't, but can they redirect an enchantment i play to someone else? I thought the word target had to be used in the card to redirect the spell, but i'm not sure.

Redirect says you can choose new targets. If the spell doesn't have targets, you can't change anything. Since Genesis Wave doesn't target, you can't do anything to it. It can be targeted by Redirect...but it won't do anything.
