Jagged Scar Archers
Hey,
I just got done playing a pretty big game with my wife, Elves against my Elementals. She had used Nissa Revane to put all her elves in her library into play. I had my Ashling the Pilgrim out and used it's ability to deal five damage to each creature and each player. She had two jagged scar archers. The damage killed everything but both the jagged scar archers (when damage is assigned they are essentially 10/10). When the other elves leave play do the archers? Or do they become 2/2?

Everything else dies, then it becomes 2/2 with five damage on it.
A question like this comes up with bloodfire collsus and platinum angel, if both players have enough life that they would lose when bloodfire collsus goes off, the one with platinum angel wins because at the same time that platinum angel is being destroyed both players are losing the game. But the platinum angel prevents one player from losing. Of course if both players had platinum angels then it would be a draw. In the scenario with both players having platinum angels the angels get destroyed, then both players lose the game at the same time.

this doesn't seem correct to me. they only become 2/2 once all the damage has resolved and the other creatures have died. the damage does not stay in suspension waiting, it has already been dealt.
if the damage had been done in the form of Wither then yes, they would also be killed.. but in this case, they survive.

As damage in MTG is assigned then dealt all at once, they cannot die.
They are 10/10 taking 5 damage. (not dying)
Then damage resolves and they become 2/2... alive!
