I am fairly new to the game and was wondering how rooftop storm works. My original assumption was that you still have to pay the color specified mana, for example: on "walking dead" i would have to pay one black instead of one black and one colorless.

Then one of my other friends told me that it would be free to play a zombie. for example, ruinator skaab i would still have to sacrifice three but i would not have to pay any mana to bring it out.

let me know how this card works cause I want to use it in fnm next week.
